double layer screen protector makes screen less touch sensitive

Hi again. Ive applied 1 more screen protectro on top of anti shatter film as the ASF catches scratches easily. But now screen becomes less sensitive cos I tink the additional pritector makes it so. What can I do abt it? I cnt remove ASF as it will void warranty. Why sony give such a lousy ASF? btw r thr any bramd of protector known to b vry thing such that sensitivity wont b compromised?

It will be helpful for you to post which brand are you using (screen protector)

Im using some little-known brand produced in singapore or China and it's rather cheap. Not any particular famous brand. I am very tempted to remove the Anti Shatter Film and paste a new, high quality screen protector to replace the ASF; even though this would void the warranty.

But generally, is it true that an additional layer of screen protector on top of ASF will decrease the sensitivity of touch screen?

I have an extra film protector and it hasn't changed anything, if you remove the ASF a side from the warranty it will remove the Sony logo

As above please do not remove the ASF. Regarding the screen sensitivity there is little I can do sorry as the screen is not designed around supporting an additional screen protector and any additional layer may have a negative impact on the phones operation.

It is your call, if the phone is going to be used in situations where the ASF is going to get damaged then you can use a secondary screen protector though as above we cannot guarantee that this won’t interfere with the performance of the phone.

By removing the ASF, will you lose the warranty on your phone or what?

It can be considered tampering as the force required to remove this item could damage the water seals around the screen.

Ive been using another screen protector and dont see any drop in performance of the touch screen. id suggest going for a matt finish screen protector rather than a glossy one. for some reason i find that the increase in surface area due to the matt finish helps in making the touch a lot more precise.
