I bought my first Sony ericsson Xperia mobile from Poorvikka store. At the time of purchase the branch manager delivered a great speech as if he is your relative. They even convinced me to purchase the insurance as they promised it will cover 90% for an year. Recently there was an display problem in my mobile, when I went to the store the branch manager didn’t even bother to see my face after knowing that I'm there to complaint about a defect in my phone. They asked me to approach Sony Ericsson center. They mentioned that the insurance will cover only 50 to 60% if it is physical damage. See the percentage and their attitude at the time of purchase and after the purchase.
Here comes another big cheater, Sony Ericsson!!! after their initial check up they couldn't find out the exact problem so they tried to put blame on me by saying, it could be because of liquid drop or sweating. If they are concern about sweating then they should not sell their product in a place like Chennai. Lot of time I have wasted for this issue. After spending a good amount of money we are in a country where we are unable to own a good product in our hand. Manufacturer is a primary cheater & Mobile selling stores are secondary. Sony ericsson produced a defective product; why customer has to suffer!! there are no proper laws in this country for consumer to take this kind of issue.
I will never go for Sony Ericsson product and Poorvikka mobile Store. I know losing one customer is not a big deal for Sony Ericsson or Poorvikka Store. But I will try every effort to stop people buying Sony ericsson product and in Poorvikka mobile store. If it reaches atleast few customers it is a win situation for me.
So My advice to people who would like purchase a sony ericsson or purchase a mobile in Poorvika store. Please be aware!!!!

again, I don't know where you bought this phones I don't know the odds neither do you and I'm trying to help out, trying to understand the issue, but you are rude. good luck and as you say, get real.
Being Patronising is'nt helping out, spend 15 minutes of your time & google "SK17i touchscreen not working" Or "SK17i faults" and see how many feeds it brings back, the big point is the second phone is 34 days old and very well looked after, O2 want to repair it, sony ericsson want to repair it even though they should see the customer loyalty when hearing a second phone was purchased due to fault on the previous, as a result of this they should have offered a refund on one and replacement on the other, but no, sony ericsson like many others dont care much for customer satisfaction anymore but only greed, I will be persuing this matter via solicitors and have arrange to pick up yet another phone tomorrow, this time provided by HTC, lets hope they have a little more respect for their customers.....

Hmm i also suffer many issues with Sony Care...Sony Executive are very dynamic people...even they may reduce the warranty period of phone n its acss.. I really have a big doubt on sony product due poor performance...i think they started with poor Chinese raw materials..they earphone, charger..phone..laptops..are doubtful to purchase....WE NEED A PRODUCT CHECKER kind of thing..
I like sony old days. I still have sony tube TV. I think the problem is sony put panufacture in china. they got what they want, cut cost and cut customer. I don't trust china product and people. my bad, I've noticed this phone is made in china, but i still bought it.
Had the same problem with my xperia mini 10-they blamed the fact it could not charge on water damage-yet the phone never got wet, then said it is beyond economical repair after they quoted they could fix it. And they also said it was sweat or moistness from being closed up-but only time it was closed was when they wrapped it in bubble wrap. So sitting with a beautiful mini 10 pro but cant use it.
