Displaying pending network even though there is availability of internet

There is new availability of system software(Walkman and Album) for my phone and I connected to WiFi and has good internet speed also but as I start downloading the updates, it always displays PENDING NEWORK and then again and again I restart the dowload from beginning . What is the cause of this problem and even though connection is good ?

Do other functions that require a data connection work ok on the handset currently? If so please please try this:

Main Menu > Settings > Apps > All > Update Center > Clear Data > Attempt to check for updates again.

I did as you said, it is working but again after reacing some percent it again displayed pending network. I started two (Album and Walkman) at the same time, both started but now both have pending network.

Other program eg:Play store, browsers works well but Updates are not .

In this case it would be worth testing it on another Wifi network if possible and if not trying a repair on the device:

1. Download the PC Companion software from http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/tools/pc-companion/
and install it on your PC.
2. Install and open PC Companion then select Support Zone.
3. Phone Software Update.
4. Start.
5. Repair Phone
6. Continue
7. Accept data removal
8. Next
9. Wait for prepare
10. Select Phone
11. Follow the connection steps

I might just have found the solution. I faced the same problem before downloading the first updates it said pending network. The reason for it was that the sim I was using was on roaming.. and when you are on roaming, you can't download your first Updates. ... then I removed the sim and tried a sim with no roaming (local sim) it started downloading. Then I stopped the download and downloaded updates via wifi. After installing the update, you will be able to download the rest of the updates even if you are roaming... problem solved!!

if u have restricted background data completely... it can cause this pending network problem...
