Hello everyone! I left my Sony Xperia Z1 charging from the computer, it was on, when I tried to unlock the screen about an hour later the phone wouldn't turn on, it just vibrated three times. The indicator light was blue, it has never been blue before, it is usually red or green when the phone is being charged. I tried to use the wall charger, the light is now yellow and the screen shows percentage of charging level (60% now), and still only vibrates three times when i try to turn it on. When the phone is not being charged, it doesn't react to anything at all. I also tried to remove the sim card, nothing changed. Please, help me to solve this problem!
You may need to perform a software repair using PC Companion. The process will erase all internal memory. You might need to charge your device for about 1-2 hours before so the device has at least 80% battery.
Make sure the device is not connected to computer or laptop and turned off (sometimes you have to press power button and volume up until the device vibrates 3 times or on some devices you have to press the small button near the SIM tray or on the back of the device).
Open PC companion->support zone->phone/tablet software update->repair my phone/tablet blue highlighted.Follow the steps given,do not connect your phone until prompted to press volume down while plugging USB cable. If PC companion does not start the repair process, you might need to run it in compatibility mode with Windows 7 (in some cases XP).
Is it possible to do anything without losing all my data? I have some important files there that I haven't saved anywhere else.
I have also just found out that the battery drain continues though the phone is being charged, the level is 4 % lower now than 20 minutes ago.
No,sorry.If the phone won't turn on,you cannot.
I tried to repair, pc companion sees the phone, but then says error 302. What can I do?
Another user reported this earlier, it's probably a server issue, try again in few hours.
Tried it several times over the last few weeks, still the same issue
Hi @JactaAleaEst
Try pressing the three buttons Power, Volume down and Volume up for about 8 seconds and then release them, and check if the Sony logo them appears.
I hope can be useful and I'm at disposal for any question.
Best Regards,
Nothing happened. The phone won't react to anything at all if it's not being charged, and when it's being charged, it shows only the sony logo and then the level of charge.
Hi @JactaAleaEst
You´ve tried to repiar it with PC Companion and stil says error 302 ?
Has your PC Companion been updated to the latest version and what version of Windows are you running ?
I hope can be useful and I'm at disposal for any question.
