Loving the ICS update so far (4.0.4 on Xperia pro) and haven't had any issues yet. One of the best features is disabling apps, I've disabled quite a lot of them, but there are a few which I can't disable (these are ones that I want to disable, there are others too).
Crash monitor
Track ID (wouldn't mind if the new version from Play Store actually replaced this version)
Playnow
Pobox touch
Data traffic
Crash monitor
On/off widgets
Video Unlimited (I don't understand why we can't disable, this app always runs in the background, not even available to use in my region)...
Most these apps would either be cached or have processes running (on 2.3 anyway) without me opening the apps, which is kinda annoying. The disabling app feature is great but would be better if we could disable all the ones that are useless and wasting RAM and cache
Crash Monitor is important for ICS 4.0.4. Do not freeze it.
To freeze the other apps, you will need root, for which you will need unlocked bootloader (as of now).
Thank You,
Rick
If you have unlocked bootloader, check here:

Thanks, but I don't plan on granting root access for my phone, at least not until the warranty has run out. Okay crash monitor I don't mind if it's needed, but Video Unlimited is the main one which annoys me. And pobox touch I'd rather uninstall than disable since it takes up too much space on internal memory, and I don't even know what it is
But until or unless you root, you can not disable those apps.
(As far as my knoledge goes. There might some way. I never bothered to search. I will see but.)
Thank You,
Rick
Yeah I know, all I can hope for is that Sony is seeing this, and if people agree with me then Sony could give these apps the option to be disabled
