Disable sound playing when placing phone in the Dock

Is it possible to disable the sound playing when placing phone in the Dock

Yes!

You will want to look at the pre-installed Smart Connect application.

I have looked through smart connect and cant find any solution specific for the dock.

To claify what i Mean.
When i put the phone in the Dock it plays a sound/tone and that is what i want to disable.

Hi. Maybe try this:

Open Smart Connect

Tap on 3 dots button in the top, right corner then select Settings.

Uncheck "Notification" and "Vibration".

Does it help?

You can also try Settings / Sounds and disable touch and screen lock sounds. Maybe it is related to this.

Aha, I misunderstood the question.

I haven't managed to find any settings to turn off that sound.

The Smart Connect settings for Notification and Vibrations doesn't seem affect this sound.

It works to change the Sound settings manually (vibrate or silent) before putting the phone in the dock though.

Oh,

tried it some more and the combo of unchecking the settings in Smart Connect and adding a Sound Mode Silent as a Charging Dock event makes it go silent and no sound is heard when put in dock.

It is then kept in silent mode however...

Which operator version of the phone you have?

Could you record (from other phone) a short video of this sound and put it here (or to YT or any other service)?

I would also like to disble the charging dock noise but leave the phone in NON slient, so phone calls get through for instance. I am surprised it is so difficult to turn off.

What do you mean by dock noise?
