Hello,
I recently got a new car, I have connected my blackberry no problem, but when trying to pair my xperia, the screen say device not compatible, does anyone know why this is, can I download anything to make it compatible
thanks
I have a similar issue with VW Golf (I assume the car bluetooth system is the same).
I am able to connect via bluetooth, and can recieve calls but can't stream music.
I'm still running Gingerbread, so hoping that with an upgrade to ICS it might work.
Are you running ICS?
Hey - yep I've already upgraded to ICS - 4.0.4 - when trying to connect it just says phone not compatible - not what I expected for a quite new car and up to date phone
Contact the car manufacturer or the manufacturer of the Bluetooth system (if not the same) and have them confirm your Bluetooth system is running the latest software.
They might also be able to tell what is required from a phone in order to work.
Also, in your phone, go to Play Store and search for LiveWare manager and see if there's any updates to install for this one since this is the app that delivers the "not compatible" message you get.
Let me know.
