Delete contacts....

I've recently deleted 3 contacts from my phonebook buy received a text from one of the deleted contacts and it still comes up with the persons name?? I've removed all texts etc so stumped as to why the name would come up again?

I've tried settings-apps-force stop-clear data-restart but that's done nothing. The number is still on my WhatsApp blocked list too (without the name though)

Could the contact be still saved on the SIM card? You can download a 3rd party app from google play to view SIM contacts directly.
