Default mail account

The option to choose a default mail account is missing in the mail settings on my

Sony xperia z2.

Anyone knows why that is?

I see other People with xperia z2 has the option... just not me

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

That sounds strange, I can find this setting in my Z2. Are you unable to find it if you go to Email > Menu button (three vertical dots) > Settings > Press at your@email-account > Default account.

Yes... it's not there.

I know where it's supposed to be.

First i thought maybee it's because i have the danish language installed, so i changed it to english, but it is still not there.

I just noticed that I did not have the latest software on my Xperia Z2, so I updated it and it looks like the default function has been removed.

Depending on which inbox you are looking at, this will be your default account if you want to send a new email. Otherwise, you can toggle between the accounts you want to send an email from by pressing "From" and you will be able to switch between the email accounts that you have added.

Why on earth would they want to remove a very usefull function like that?

I know i can choose the "from" adress manually, but i tend to forget that so it was

a very nice function, but if that's the way it is then we can't do anything about it.
