Hi guys,
Had my z2 for a few weeks and all has been well, till i woke up booted the phone and tried to turn off wi-fi and switch to
data as i was about to leave the house and have a good EE 4G uk connection .... NO BUTTON, just usage for the month.
I have tried everything to get it back, flashtool, hard reboot, nothing, now the SIM also says it is not recognised in the handset,
I have been out and purchased some pay as you go ones on the same network but same thing !
Help !!
I have included a screnshot of where the button is normally under bluetooth and wi-fi in network settings
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
You wont get a button if the phone is not registering that there is a SIM inserted. Just to clarify, have you tried a firware repair, if you have and still have no luck I would have to advise you speak with your local Xperia Care team for assessment of your device.

Did you mean firmware repair NOT firware repair ? I have flashed firmware 17.1.2.A.O.314 again but to no avail
There is no SIM in the device,I guess that is why you don't get the button.
You don't have signal at all,you might have a hardware problem.Stop by a sony service.
go into settings and click on the MORE option under wireless &networks mobile networks >network mode then set it to 4G(preferred)/WCDMA/GSM if that dont work go into the internet settings oftion and redownload the internet and mms settings found under more .
When Xperias loose the SIM by software do as above said... First change settings to GSM only... and see if it catches data, then go again to 3G/WCDMA preferred and see what will happen. Had same issue in Xp T (LT30p), sometimes had to change the phone range to get back to service again. If it doesn't help, try to reinstall android with pc companion, first of corse make a backup of all things you like, drop it to SD card, take it off and repair with pc companion (should protect the SD from whipe out).
