My girlfriend has had her Xperia Z for about 2 weeks now and she's noticed what appears to be a dark spot appearing on the front-facing camera. It almost looks like some kind of 'burn' effect. The issue doesn't present itself on the rear-facing camera, and appears on all apps that can use the front camera. The effect also appears in the photos too.

You can see the effect in the middle, slightly to the left (where the ceiling and the wall meet).
Obviously she's wiped the front of the phone to make sure it's not dirt, but it's not that. Could it be dirt under the lens?
I think you could take it back but if it works fine and you have no other problems then I'd tend to just ignore it - how many times are you going to use the front camera and if you do - what real impact is it likely to have ?
if you have a working fault free device then I stick with it
If you have a screen protector it could also be a problem with that but otherwise there's something wrong with the camera i'm afraid. If you want it fixed, please contact your local Sony Xperia support (http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/) or a service location.
Omg I am experiencing the exact same problem right now!!!
