Custom Sounds

Hello Everyone i just got my Xperia Z1 today and i moved all my stuff over from my HTC One X but now im struggling to set custom sounds, i have 4-5 audio tracks that the fone wont allow me to select in Ringtones or Notifications, i can see them and click on them but they dont play and i cant hit Done.

I opened the SMS app and tried to change my ringtone to EuroTrips Mail Motherf**ker and i cant even do that, am i missing something? surely it cant be that hard

I've tried mp3, ogg, mpga and m4a I really don't know why it's doing it.

I might just have to root the fone although I was hoping to leave that for awhile

Repair phone software,if still not working root it.
