Custom Sounds

Hello Everyone i just got my Xperia Z1 today and i moved all my stuff over from my HTC One X but now im struggling to set custom sounds, i have 4-5 audio tracks that the fone wont allow me to select in Ringtones or Notifications, i can see them and click on them but they dont play and i cant hit Done.

I opened the SMS app and tried to change my ringtone to EuroTrips Mail Motherf**ker and i cant even do that, am i missing something? surely it cant be that hard

If you do not manage to do it from the settings,you can try from the walkman app.Just go to walkman-all music-tap longer on a specific song and select as ringtone.

I tried that and it said it is set as a ringtone but when someone rings it just plays the default ringtone

Could you explain what you've tried so far and in what way?

Did you tried following?

Settings>Sound>Phone Ringtone>Complete action using(Media Storage and Sound picker)>choose sound picker - just once>from that menu, touch to right above(music note)>Complete action using> choose Walkman>choose favorite song and then press DONE.

NOTE:I´m using the Xperia Z but I expect that these steps are very similar to the Z1.

After hitting the music note I can pick through my folders for the songs I Want but after picking the song I want it brings me back to the list of all the sounds in the ringing settings but I can't hit done to complete the job

If I pick a sound that came with the fone I can hit done

I don't understand how the sounds work through the music player but the fone won't use them for ringtones or SMS notifications

Sorry for delay, but your problem is a little strange:smileyhappy:

When you select your favorite song via Walkman(steps above), you do not have the option "DONE" at all, or is maybe grey and untouchable?

It's just greyed out so I can't complete my choice, I don't know why it's doing it, I even converted the songs to different formats and that didn't help either.

Can't believe I'm having such a stupid problem with this new phone

What formats you use? (mp3, aac, flac...)
