I am at my absolute wits end with my ion.
The entire system crashes on a regular basis and when that is not happening all of my apps (including the stock apps) will crash within 15-120 seconds of being open. Recently the speaker has started to go on it as well - the volume levels never gets above a "3" now and the sound is morbidly distorted.
If I am somehow able to keep my text message open long enough to type a response it either deletes all written text when I press send or cannot deliver the message. Very frequently texts that I am being sent by others are never received.
I can't upload photos - it goes through the motions and "hangs up" when "submitting".
My camera has also recently deterioted. Now all pictures I take are extremely bright, grainy, blurry and complete trash. A lot of the time if I try to "backspace" out of an app it opens my camera instead.
When I receive a phone call it never rings. Two out of three times I take a phone call my entire phone crashes when the other line hangs up.
I also use my phone as my alarm clock - which is becoming a huge source of anxiety now that my alarm randomly elects to not go off.
I have checked the settings regarding all of these issues and everything is as it should be. The volume levels are up. The mute is not on. The alarm is set to on. I have played around with the flash, etc on the camera.
I have tried countless texting and messaging, camera, alarm, photo, sound, etc apps with nothing improving the state of my phone.
I can't text. I can't call. I can't view or listen to media. I can't use any apps. I can't take pictures.
And yet I have paid for this phone and am continuing to pay for the contract that I am on.
At this point I will never, ever, again purchase a sony product.
Does anyone have any suggestions before I run it over with my car?
