Cracked screen

Dear support-forum readers,

I have seen you help a lot of people and I was wondering if you could also help me.

Today, while in the supermarket, I held my phone in my hand, when I heard a loud breaking sound. I noticed that my phone's screen cracked into a huge amount of tiny pieces. I think it happened because of the sudden temperature change (it was warm in the car but very cold in the supermarket).

Is there someone who had the same thing happen to him/her? And if so: How much did it cost to fix the glass? Ans where can I do this?

I will post a picture of the phone below, so you can see which glass I am talking about.

Gosh, I still don't get how the screen got cracked (and on so many places) while being in my hand..

That is a big crack, a big big crack be strong and take it to the nearest sony outlet and hope they won't put any charges.. Haha

I know ;( I tried to get the video footage of the store, but they can't get it either.. ;( And I doubt that Sony will fix it for free..

My new xperia L screen has been accidentally shattered and I want to know how I can get it repaired

mostlyb9 : sorry to hear about it..how did it shatter ? did it break under mysterious circumstances like OP's or did it slip through your hand ??

you have 2 options : 

1. go to sony centre. I would recommend this as i feel its better to get your phone repaired by official centre even though they may charge more.

2. any other mobile repairing centre. I won't recommend this despite their less charges unless you trust these guys a lot.

Maybe a Sony repair will be very expensive but it will not void your warranty.

Check sony repair cost and if is too expansive you can try to repair it by yourself buying spare parts

I was getting out my mums car a few weeks ago and it slid nout my pocket and on to the floor. I dont really want to pay £80 for repair.
