Cover with Magnet

Can I use a cover with a magnet? Harmful if the magnetic field on the touch screen? And on the phone itself?

I have a case with a magnet but it's a very weak magnet and has no effect on the running of the device but if like any electrical device you place a more powerful magnet next to it then this will have an effect - Most devices like phones have internal shielding but this will only go so far as said depending on the strength of the magnet
