Contacts and messages keep returning to beginning

Hi all,

Love my Z2 apart from a couple of annoying things. When I exit a contact it always returns to the beginning. For example if i try ringing 'tony mobile' with no answer so think ill call on his mobile when press back i have to scroll though to tony mobile as it always returns to 'A'.  I hope this makes sense? its the same with messages

Please help if you can

That's quite odd

What if you backup your contacts then 

settings > apps > all > phone > clear data > restart your phone > check again.

I thought this also. This is my third Z2 now and they have all been the same. Just tried as you suggested but hasn't changed anything.

Try this, open the phone, not the phonebook, make a call to anyone on the call log > do you experience the same issue?

I tried ringing the last number on the call log. When i exited the call it stayed in the same place on the call log, and didnt return to the top. I hope this has given you a clue....

yeah I know what the issue is, it will be wise to contact Sony directly to report this bug

Ok I have sent them whats been happening but unfortantly i couldnt send our conversation. Out of interest what is the problem? Is it something I've done?

I think its the app itself, you could download a different phone app and test it.

You are correct. Ive got a different phone app and it works perfectly.

I'm glad it's working with other apps, do contact Sony directly.
