Contact picture gets automatically rotated

When I'm trying to set a new picture for a Contact, it gets rotated automatically. After selecting the picture and selects use as contact picture it gets rotated automatically in the cropping window. I even tried to set picture from the contact. Still same problem. I think I got this problem after I updated to kitkat. Plz help me out.

Try to clear data for contacts app under settings-apps-all and restart.Try again.

Thanks for the reply. No luck. Still is the same. The picture always rotated to 90 degree in the anti clockwise direction.

I have the same problem. The only way I can add a contact picture without it autorotating is if I take a picture directly in the contactsetup. This is a really annoying bug.
