contact information about Myself is incorrect

When I press the 'Myself' entry in my contacts it displays a number that is not mine. It will not allow me to delete it! I have added my own number, so now there are two numbers, but I want to delete the other one. Any ideas? Thanks...

To delete one number in your contact information you have to select the first icon in the upper right side of the screen ("a man with a pencil") and click on the "X" near the email/number you want to remove

Do you also see this number under Settings -> About phone -> Status -> My phone number? If so this number is preprogrammed as your number in the SIM-card and you can't edit or remove that from the phone. You need to contact your operator in that case.

I too have same problem .Instead of my number some other number is shown even i can't delete this contact.This is also present in Settings>>About phone>>Status>>my phone number.

How can i delete this number??Please help

You cannot delete,it is default and it is read from the SIM.For older SE phones,it was possible to change it.

It is the 'MY NUMBER' showing on the top of contacts list you're referring to.

This can't be changed, as first time you insert a SIM, that number will be registered to the phone and Xperia phones won't let us change it and there is no option to change it, unlike iPhones and Samsung.

Not sure, if it works, but you can try updating the software. However this wrong number won't affect your services.
