Constant red light even when phone fully charged

Can anyone advise what is causing this? There is a constant red light on my phone even though it is fully charged - it's been there since the battery was low, but normally it switches off once charged. Does it mean something else other than low battery?

Does your phone switch on and show 100%??

Yes - the phone is working fine. It was showing 100% right after charge; it's at 60% now. Battery use seems normal, I'm just concerned this constant red light will increase battery use & maybe interfere with the normal lights which tell me I have messages etc. I'm also not sure if it is trying to tell me something!

Thanks. It's stopped now! But this has happened before; I will contact Sony next time....

Same happening to me, sometimes..

Its sometimes green light turned on all the time when battery is fully charged..
