Connecting Xperia 8 cell phone with XperiaZ tablet

Hello,

I am trying to use my Xperia 8 with my XperiaZ tablet to have internet access in the tablet through the phone. According to tablet´s manual I must install the software Xperia Link in the phone. I didn´t find this application in Market, and I don´t know how to install an application from other sources. Could anybody help me, please? Thank you

Xperia Link its only for Android 4.0+

you will have to root your Xperia X8 and install apps such as barnacle to tether your connection

I read about "rooting an Android phone". It doesn´t seem to be an "allowed" operation (voids warranty). But using Xperia Link is allowed. Is there a replacement suitable for Xperia X8 which doesn´t require rooting?

Your warranty its gone, as this phone its more than 2 years old, also rooing doesn't quite void your warranty
