connecting ps3 dualshock

I need to know whether Ps3 dualshock controller can be used on Xperia L and if yes how
Do I need to purchase any additional hardware?
I am currently running JB 4.2.2

Unfortunately, Xperia L does not support connection of a DualShock 3 controller.

A USB-cable + OTG-adapter is needed to pair the PS3 controller to the phone. But since Xperia L is not supporting DUALSHOCK™3 it will not work.

then what is the use of it being play station certified?
also by using unofficial version is it possible?

The meaning of Playstation certified is that your unit can access Playstation mobile and download variety of content. More info can be found at the following link:

I'm not really sure what you mean by unofficial version, but we do not have any solution for this.
