Connecting Nokia BH-503 Bluetooth headset to Xperia SP

My Sony Xperia SP can not find my Nokia BH-503 bluetooth headset. I am able to find and pair other bluetooth devices with Xperia SP. Please help me to solve this issue.

If the phone is unable to find it, it sounds like the headset is not set in pairing mode.

According to the manual for this headset, you need to turn it off and then hold the multifunction key until the led starts flashing blue quickly. In this mode, your phone should be able to find it.

I did the step by step method given by you with the headset. Now I can connect my laptop with the headset, but still Xperia SP can not find the headset.

Try turning off any other bluetooth devices that may be nearby and then try this again. If you have another bluetooth device that connects to it before the phone, the phone may not be able to detect it.

If that doesn't help, could you test if the phone is able to detect other bluetooth headsets? Please note that any headset must probably be set in a pairing mode first and how you do this will depend on which headset it is.

I unpaired the headset from the laptop. I restarted the headset, but still Xperia SP can not find it. I am able to find my laptop bluetooth in Xperia SP. There is no other bluetooth device here now. So there is no chance for the headset to get connected to any other device. I do not have another bluetooth headset, so I can not test with SP.

I would try to turn off the laptop and then try this to make sure your laptop is not trying to connect to the headset automatically or that your headset tries to connect to the laptop.

But if you are unable to find the headset from Settings -> Bluetooth in this case, i'm afraid i suspect they may not be compatible or that there's something wrong with one of them. To check this i recommend that you try to get hold of another headset to try with your phone.
