Hi everyone, I have a SE XPERIA X10. I don't use PC Companion often enough just because, whenever I want to connect to my pc, I need to get the micro USB to do that. PC Companion offers connection via wireless for only 4 phones (3 models). XPERIA Arc, Play and neo. Why won't they do that for all XPERIA phones? Not even for X10 (which was much more expensive that Arc!). They all do offer wireless connection and can't seem to find the reason they won't let you connect that way. Any suggestions? Do the guys at SE ever see these posts and questions? Do they ever answer?
Hi Tassmch, if your main purpose is to transfer files between X10 and PC, I would recommend Bluetooth File Transfer, search for this app in Market.
No gwhispererz, my purpose isto connect to PC Companion via either WLAN or BT. NOT cable! I do have apps to connect with WLAN to my PC. I just need to do that with PC Copmanion as well
I see, connecting X10 to PC Companion without USB cable is not possible.
I know that. I was just wondering, WHY X10 only, from the latest phones. It's the latest feature they added up and they already made it possible with the phones I already wrote. Why didn't they add up X10 as well?
This topic is not new, have a read (thread from X10 Community), http://talk.sonyericsson.com/message/49203#49203.
ok, let me rephrase my question; why won't they add up the X10 in the list of models the PC Copmanion can accept WLAN connection. It's not a phone's problem. It's Windows Application's problem!
I clearly understand your question, the problem is I don't have an answer for that.
As long as I need to connect X10 to PC Companion, I will use a USB cable (just a habit).
I know you do and I hate it (having to disconnect the USB from my charger each time I wonna connect to my PC). I just wish they improve it at least with the possibilities the And.2.3 will have. Maybe they 'll add it up the
Let's hope so.
