Compass not working

I've just bought a Z1 Compact, and the compass doesn't seem to be working.

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem, and if there any settings I might need to change to enable it?

Hello to you all...

I have an Xperia Active ST17i.

Compas does't work. If i launch it the phone restarts. The display is not rotating anymore in lanscape format. Not in Maps, Gallery, etc. If I try to launch Waze, the phone restarts.

In Service Menu I tried the Compass Test. The phone restarts by it self.

I restored the Android from settings menu. Nothing. I restored it from Service menu. Nothing. I restored it with PC Companion. Nothing.

Please help guys..... Thx a lot.
