You can charge the phone at any moment, even if its at 90%, li-ion battery usually last 500 full cycles before the battery starts degrading. You can't overcharge the phone either, once it reaches 100% it will stop charging

There is no problem if you fully charge the battery. It is important not to let it completely discharge. I think it is Li-Ion or Li-Po.

With the information I have available, it seems to be Li-Ion.
If the life of the battery is lowered by a high charge what does that mean for Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0? Is it going to have negative long term effect on the battery? How do you get the battery replaced anyway [if it lives long enough to need it] and how much would that cost?
Thanks in advance, and I know I'm asking a lot of questions here. It's just that the battery life on this phone isn't exactly incredible so Quick Charge is a great feature, but if it's going to shortern the life of the battery pack that would make it something I might not want to use...

A: Quick Charge operates within the design parameters of batteries found in most smartphones. It is just charging the battery the way it is designed to be charged.
Device manufacturers build smartphones with a specific battery that can accept a specific level of charge. The battery size and maximum current of each battery are design decisions made by the manufacturer and can vary from smartphone to smartphone, tablet to tablet and so on.
However, traditional battery charging technology does not come close to the full power requirements of today's large batteries. Quick Charge 2.0 is designed to allow device manufacturers to achieve the full rated capability of the batteries they choose while still meeting the performance and safety standards set by the battery manufacturer.
