Charging stops when using USB port ?

Hi !

I have a small problem in my Acro S: when charging through USB port, the charging stops sometimes and battery starts to discharge although USB cable is connected. In the attached picture ( sorry for the language 🙂 the USB charging starts around the middle of the picture, ends up to full and starts to discharge and battery is about 50% when I woke up in the morning. The lowest bar in the picture claims that charging is on all the time when discharging. Also you can see that the display was on while charging, that's because I used the phone as a night clock.

I have upgraded the software using the SUS to the latest version ( 6.2.B.1.96 )

I think I have seem this with both of my PCs and wall charger but not 100% sure. Also it may happen that charging stops well before reaching 100%, possibly because something happened ( like received a SMS or email ) and discharging starts. It also occurs with my other phone Sony Xperia E ( which is also upgraded to latest sw, 111.3.A.2.23 ).

The phenomen is quite rare, so I sorry I cannot describe it very well, nor can reproduce reliably if needed but would there be any adwice despite of that ?

If you are tethering your phone or using it while charging it without a computer it might not charge as the battery its depleting faster than it can recharge

you can always repair your phone

Sorry, forgot to add:

I was not using the phone for tethering or anything else power consuming, it just had the home screen with clock on and wake up set up for the next morning, also you can see from the picture that there is enough power to charge to 100% but then charging stops and discharge starts ( while the usage of phone remains the same, ie. clock+wake up).

Hi !

Is the repair different than upgrading to the latest sw version (which I did) ? If repairing includes resetting all info in the phone ( and restoring them from backups, isntalling all apps etc  ) I think I'd like to wait till some easier correction or atleast get confirmation that repair operation is effective before the labouros trial.
