charging issues

Hi

I have a Z handset with charging issues.  I can plug my phone in for an overnight charge and 8 hours later the handset is only 75% - from a starting 30%. I can get a faster charge off my laptop at times.  Is this an issue with software or the charge plug?

uninstall all -task -memory -battery managers -battery savers anti virus and any other utility you have that effects proper phone management then report back

if the above makes no difference then do a update repair using SUS (sony update service)  back up your data first as this will wipe the phone clean

do not install any apps until you are sure it is tested and fixed

you may have a faulty charger but you must rule out everything else first

Type *#*#7378423#*#* into the phone dialler, go to service tests and choose battery health test, then you can see if it is an issue with the battery.

Thanks for that - did all of the above, a nope, still crap - 45 minutes on the charge block = and extra 6% battery charge. Looks like the changer

Try to reset the phone or repair phone software via PC Companion:

http://www.sonymobile.com/update

If the problem still persist after this, you should send in the phone to a service center for repair.
