Will the xz work on verizon? I have the Xperia z 3 and called verizon to see if I bought the xz would it work with my current sim card and on the verizon network here in the US but they had no information for me and could not help.
It won't work, Verizon is a CDMA network and the XZ it's a GSM phone, the only Sony phones that work with Verizon are the Verizon variant of Xperia Play and the Z3V, the same answer apply to Sprint, the phone should work with AT&T and T-Mobile.
I just chatted with verizon online and the rep told me that the phone would work on their network.
I saved the chat transcript just in case.
He told me that if I inserted my sim card and activated the phone it would work on verizon network.
So I called into.my local verizon and the tech there said she had no idea if it would work. But like you said, it's GSM and I read that elsewhere so I'm not sure why he is saying it will work.
