cant place mini contact icons on home screen any more

after updating to the new 4.1.2 software i cant seem to place any mini contact icons on my home screen all i get to do is place this huge new contact which is now in the widgets panel!!

is there anyway of getting to place the small contact widgets again please??

You may of tried this but instead of adding a widget choose APPS then choose Shortcut then contact then select the contact from your list - I don't know if this is or was the same but it's the only way I know of to add small contacts icons etc
