actually got this problem to me..please place micro sim trimmed correctly in the points.....got to see that many micro sims trimmed are having the same problem.due to the corruption of chip when trimming.,..so please check it out

try reparing with pcc or sus

Repair phone software,like the user above suggested.If still not working,take the phone to a sony center.

Yes, I experienced the same issue with my Xperia M Dual. I was unaware of the fact the phone utilizes microsim. Having to improvise, i cut the sim out very crookedly. Every time i booted my trouble struck Xperia M, the hardware would not detect the sim card. After multiplr attempts I found out the pins were not making proper contact with the card, because I cut too small. To compensate, I cut out a small 2 mm strip of card, and inserted it between the gap. Now it finally detects the sim card. Hope it helps!
