Cannot update android in xperia S

i tried to update my android version from 2.3.7 to 4.0 (ICS), i tried using the bench to mac to update but after the whole process is done, i re-start my phone but the android version still remains as 2.3.7. I then tried to use the PC companion, same result. At last i use the Update service, again, my phone simply can't be updated. The android version just stick to the old one.

it's not available just yet, only the 2011 Xperias are getting ICS

First up, the rollout plans for the Xperia NXT series (Xperia S, Xperia P and Xperia U) are progressing as planned. The first smartphone to be upgraded will be Xperia S, starting from the end of June. Then Xperia P will follow, whilst Xperia U will receive it a little later in Q3. As always we will keep you in the loop with the latest info as soon as we can.
