CANNOT DELETE SMS - SONY Z3 DUAL

I am not able to delete my sms, threads or conversations by any means. whenever I try to delete anything, it just keeps on loading and nothing happening after 5 mins of just loading. 

please help me

Try clearing cache of your Messaging app:
- Go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Messaging -> Clear data and restart your phone (This will not wipe your messages)

Have tried doing that . the sms remains in my list .

I even cleared the Data and as well the cache . everything remains the same. please help...!

You have to clear the cache then try to delete SMS after restarting, did you do that?

Ok. I tried this way as well,

Deleted the caches, then restarted my phone and again tried to delete the sms ., It says pop up - message deleted, but the sms is still there .

Do you have really many messages? Because that's when it takes 5-10 minutes to delete them.

What if you download a different messaging app, perhaps google messenger > delete all the messages > restart the phone > check agian.

The problem has been solved partially, I am using GO SMS PRO to delete the smses but still it takes lonnnnnng time to delete one sms. It keeps on loading for  7 to 8 sec and then the msg gets deleted. I wonder why it is taking so much time. there is definitely some problem with the OS or the sony app.
