Hi,
I have purchased a dualshock controller for connecting it with my xperia z1, I can connect it in wired mode. I'm able to go to the settings>xperia connectivity>dualshock 3 controller and successfully finish the procedure,, the bluetooth of my mobile turns on. As soon as I disconnect the cable the connection doesn't work.
What could be the possible issues, can it be because of a faulty controller? All replies appreciated.
I also encountered the same problem ... But I can say for sure that nothing to do with a gamepad on android 4.2 it worked fine .. but now only usb. Let's hope that soon it will fix the problem or find the solution.
Thank you for the reply. So the issue is with the latest update. I was worried thinking that I have purchased a faulty controller..
Hoping the issue to solved quickly because the controller on USB otg is draining my battery like anything..
Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
I'm not able to reproduce your problem, could you please provide me with your build number? Check under settings > about phone > build number.
Also, are you using a real Sony DualShock 3 controller?

I think DualShock 3 have to have more charge level to work with Z1 smartphones, than charge level to work with PS3.
It's can be explained by difference in Z1 and PS3 BlueTooth controllers... I just think so. Not sure...
I build 136 ... and I'm using a gamepad from the original PS3 ... in my case it is always fully charged and there is no pair
Hi Alexander, thank you for the reply,
My xperia z1 build number is 14.2.A.0.290
Android Version: 4.3 Jelly Bean
I have purchased the Sony dualshock 3 controller from a reputed online store. Could you provide me with some insights on how to verify the authenticity of the controller online?
I have tested the same controller with my friends xperia z (with latest JB update), but the issue persist. I can make the controller work only on USB otg mode.
Please suggest a solution.
Thanks & Regards,
Jaison.
In this thread topicstarter are recommend to use original Sony cable. http://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-Z1-Z1s/Phone-doesn-t-detect-Dualshock-3-controller/m-p/497543/h...
If you have official Sony shop in your living area try to visit them with Z1 and DualShock. Ask them to connect your controller and one another from shop.
I guess the trouble could be in uncorrect BlueTooth parametrs wrighting to DS3 controller. I want to say, the parametrs are correct, but they are not correctly written to controller memory.
Try to wait more time after synchronization devices. Don't unplug cable immediately.
No luck with the issue.. Still having trouble..

Could the Xperia support team address this issue seriously..
Regards,
Jaison.
