Can't update a UK Xperia U on 6.0.B1.564

Hi ive recently got an Xperia U on Talkmobile network in the UK. Ive installed both the PC companion and the Update software. With the Update software I cant actually get it too connect to the phone, the first time I plugged the phone into the PC it installed some Windows drivers and that was it. Ive connected my phone to the PC companion and it says the phone has the latest version.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: While using the Update software the phone has the green band lit up at the bottom then the phone boots up shows the Sony logo and then the charge symbol and thats it.

EDIT: Rebooted PC and Update software works ok now, but again said I have the latest version the same response as from PC companion. Isnt the latest firmware for the UK yet?

im in uk and i got same as you

you cant update anymore the b3 update are for certain countrys

so you just after check each week to see if its ready for your phone thats what im going to do but i think the phone itself should auto check for updates

Thanks. I did try and search the internet about the firmware but found no luck in telling me which was the latest version in the UK. As long as thats the latest one then thats ok. Think ill just try and check every week or so.

Yeah there is an auto update thing on the phone but I think for major updates like firmware and to ICS you will have to do it via the PC and not the phone.

just hope it hurrys up because gps lags and display auto brightness doesnt work at all so that feature is useless

Two members of my family have the TalkMobile Xperia U and they are yet to get the .162 update just like you. Who is stopping this? Talkmobile or Sony?

I once had a Nokia from CPW and it never had one update, even though at least 5 updates had been released in the two years I had it, thus I suspect

Has anyone also noticed sometimes the phone is unable to connect to Wi-Fi networks?

What's happening Sony?
