Can't Record Video To Micro SD Card

Hi,

I have a Kingston 64gb Class 10 microSD card and I have set the camera to save both videos and photos to the SD card but when I try to record a video, it only records 4 seconds before saying the SD card is full and needs to use the internal memory. I have over 50gb of space free on the SD card so this shouldn't be an issue.

Please can someone tell me how to fix this issue.

In an unrelated note I have noticed that my phone has started freezing sometimes and I'm unable to wake it by double tapping or pressing the power button, it becomes completely unresponsive. The only way to fix it is to press the power and volume buttons together at the same time till I feel the phone vibrate, which then shuts the phone down and then to power the phone back up using the power button. This has happened about 3 times in the past week and I've only had the phone for a month!

I think the card might not be totally compatible or could be just broken.Did you try another card or your card in another device?

Ah that's interesting. I just tried a much smaller 2gb microSD card (unknown brand) and that allowed me to record video to it. I did a couple of tests of recording 30 second films and they saved to the card fine. Perhaps it is the Kingston card then but I don't understand why seeing as the Xperia manual just says you can have up to a 64gb card (or is it 128gb??).

Is there a list anywhere of known cards that work well with the Z2?

Now I just need to solve the issue of the phone freezing and being unresponsive. Just as I went to test the card I couldn't get the phone to wake up again and the power button did nothing so I had to do the rest thing of holding down power and volume. This is starting to become a regular occurrence now and I may need to send the phone back if there isn't a fix for it.

There is no specific list but the cards that I have seen working best with Xperias were Sony and Sandisk, and even some no name cards.About the freezing, boot in safe mode and see if the same occurs:

Thanks, I'll have a look for a Sony or Sandisk card then. I'll also try the safe mode tip and see if my phone has the same freezing issue or not.

Thanks very much for your help.
