Can't copy text in Web browser address bar or phone dialer

As the topic says. On all previous android phones I've been able to highlight copy and paste into the address bar of the google chrome browser and phone dialer.

Its becoming increasingly annoying that I can't share url links or past a phone number into the dealer as I need to for work most days

Is there a way to do this that I'm just not seeing?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

To copy the URL in the browser you simply press once on the URL to mark it, then press twice to get get the copy/cut menu. If you want to copy numbers in the dialer you can long-press to get the copy/paste option.
