As the title states, I paired my MW600 with my Xperia X10, but I can't control any of the music that plays from it. When I press either the play/pause or skip buttons, they do nothing but light up the two lights in between the three silver buttons below the screen on the X10, which means that my phone must be recognizing the headset, but not its input. Why can't I control music on it and how do I remedy this?
Additionally, after successfully pairing my MW600 headset with my Vaio laptop and controlling music playback, I know it has to be isolated just to the phone itself, perhaps the version of Android?
The Xperia™X10 doesn't support the Forward and Rewind on the MW600 because it doesn't support AVRCP Bluetooth profile.
So, basically, I can't ever use the playback buttons on the bluetooth headset? A software update won't fix that?
Also, if I can't use these headphones to control playback, are there any, wired or wireless, that will have the same audio playback control as, say, the iPhone's stock headphones? That's what I'm ultimately looking for.
No, there aren't any wired headphones for the X10 to control playback either. I use this phone with the same headset, I just use a playlist so I dont have to touch the phone for a while.
Will the X10 ever receive AVRCP support in the future or is it strictly a hardware component and I'll have to wait and see if the X10's successor will support it?
Also, do you know of any good armbands that would fit the X10?
Err... Martha, i'm using MW600 with X10i. I can move forward to the next track and go back to the previous one. In fact I'm doing so right now......
Why do you say not?
