Can only connect to PC with USB debugging on

Since the last software update, I have only been able to access my LT22i from my PC if I set the phone to USB Debugging on.  Without it, my device manager shows a Code 10 error on the USB Mass Storage Device which is supposed to be the phone, and the PC Companion software does not detect the phone, even though the phone itself shows that it is connected.

Without USB debug,you should not be able to access files in storage mode.Have you tried reinstalling PCC?Adding the phone again could work,or reinstalling the drivers.(turn off the phone,connect it via usb while vol down is pressed).
