Can I downgrade back to 4.1.2??

So I'm really not liking the 4.2.2 upgrade. It's the phone UI on a tablet..... A tablet is NOT a phone. I want the soft buttons back in the corner so landscape is more thumb friendly and notifications back where they were so I don't have an added black bar along the top. The new features I'm not bothered about as I don't use them, so is there a way to reflash 4.1.2 on my Australian wifi edition??

I appreciate this is Google's move rather than Sony, but it's awful. Why remove a 'tablet ui' from a tablet? I don't want my tablet to look like a phone, else why bother buying a tablet?

I have both the Xperia Z and Tablet Z - with 4.1.2, the tablet was clearly related, but only a distant cousin. Now it's an identical twin.

What about slowed browsing performance? that is my biggest issue and will be a reason to return and go different direction.

If you PC COMPANION back up then you can go back your previous OS..

I never update mine to the new coz it has a lot of issues...

Macky....PC COMPANION is not capable of restoring system to older version. I just confirmed that with Sony. Have you tried it? I have yet to upgrade this model. I have warranty from Sony and I had battery issue that may not have been related to 4.2.2. I exchanged unit for new unit that still had 4.1.2.... I simply ignore upgrade reminder...

Having small keyboard fixed on rhs is useless for a left hander.

Im starting to hate my tab!!!! It was so great with 4.1.... Now its worse than chinese replica... I agree with all comments above.... We dont need larger xperia Z phone

I am missing the shortcut to the remote on the bottom Black bar. Can i get it back without downgrading the firmware ?

I strongly agree with all of you who doesn't  liking this new 4.2, I am so disappointed for paying $500 for this tablet know, I called Sony for downgrade they said they cant do it, but I did finde FTF that I can intall if I want but that will break my warranty. Also I am sometimes having WIFI issues it drops the connection sometimes specially if the STAMINA mode is on, not sure if any of you experienced it?

I don't know why Sony has done this update, is a fully step back. One of the more expensive tablet in the market can't have a phone UI while others cheaper have best UIs. The previous UI was perfect, but this is a real swill, the same that the service of Sony. I'm very disppointed with it this time.
