A friend has an issue with her camera on the Xperia P. (She claims that) suddently, the display is twisted in the camera app. I don't know how this happended, but I have no idea if it's a bug or a setting that I am not able to figure out.
The app itself seems to work just fine, but the display (that shows whatever the camera sees) is 90 degrees twisted. This is only the case with the main camera. The front camera works just fine. I tried to clear the data of the app, but that didn't do anything.
Has anybody had similar problems or can help me to figure this out. Any help is greatly appreciated!!
@Update: My friend has not dropped the phone or smth like that. She updated to Android 4.1, but claims that the camera worked just fine for a while after that.
Could it be a faulty camera?Has she dropped the phone?Strange thing..
download another camera app from the market and try using that. if the same issue persists even in that app then there might be some issue with the hardware of the camera.
Also try a factory reset and then see if it helps.if not then reinstall firmware using PC companion or SUS.
Hope it helps u.
As mentioned in the Update, my friend has not dropped the phone. She recently updated to Android 4.1, but claims that the camera worked just fine for a while afterwards.
If there are no other suggestions I will probably reset it and see what happens.
If the problem persists after a reset or update/repair of the phone software using PC Companion or Update Service your friend should send the phone to service for repair. You can contact your local support for more info:

Sometimes, using Quick Launch, my Camera is also twisted...
Repair by PCC or SUS doesn't fix the problem.
I think, that Camera app / Quick Launch camera app is slightly underdeveloped.
In my opinion it is the main point, need to be fixed in the next update
