When I try the sweep panorama option in my phone, the picture stops half way thorugh the process. Hence, I can't control the result of the picture and it messes up the final result.
I don't think that is acceptable as a valid option in the camera. It looks like an "alpha" release instead of a final product, specially when this function has been around for several years.
Thx and rgds,
Javi
And this happens every time you try to use the panorama function? Can't say I've experienced this issue myself, and I use the camera in my Z a lot.
Try to repair the phone software via PC Companion to see if it helps.

im also having trouble with this function. 1 out of 4 tries times it works, but with a lot of iritations. but this is also on issue on the xperia s. im not sure how the xperia T fucntions here, but i guess its the same. in my opinion sony has a lot of work on this function, espacialy when you see the panoramo fucntion on the samungs, and the experience sony already has on the camera market
It happens all the time and, believe me, I use the camera quite a lot as well. As i used to do with my old Nexus S which is 3 years old and still takes the panoramic pictures with out a problem.
Time to suggest something more than just a repair fix (if that is the fix you then have a problem on why a top of the range phone requires this on the first place).
Kind Regards,
Javi
I don't like SONY mobile's camera anymore, it's used to be simple but now I can't even use FOCUS for Macro anymore, instead they have limited option for gourmet. and with the panorama sweep, it **bleep**! Slow, only horizontal sweep , no vertical sweep, and full of bugs. I will switch to SAMSUNG for this reason among others.
The biggest issue I have with the Sweep Panorama on my Z3 is that I cannot stop the capture. I can only start the capture, and I have to keep "sweeping" until the capture ends, even though I would prefer to stop it sooner. I constantly take a panaorama that I have to edit later to crop out stuff I don't want, which distorts the final result.
Panoramic photos are a standard function and you should be able to decide when to start AND stop the panorama capture, and then have the phone produce the final image. This is how the iPhone does it, and should be how ALL phones do it. I should not have to download more camera apps to get the functionality I require.
Please fix this.
