Camera quality and software update

I tested Xperia L camera and find that there is excessive noise, low sharpness loss of texture in still images.

Even though colours are vivid and HDR is handy, sharpness is abysmal in all types of lighting situations.

Is this a software or hardware issue ? Come on SONY - you market this phone as camera phone and the quality is not upto mark in this otherwise impressive phone. I hope its a software issue that will be fixed in future updates (since similar optics are also used in Xperia Z and Xperia SL).

Also, where is the superior auto mode on Xperia L ?

I'm also having the same noise issue with camera of my new XPERIA L, even my previous phone(j105i:Nait) can shot better image than this.

try with HDR off, also post some pictures

that doesn't look good, to narrow down the issue, you could repair your phone with sus or pcc but it might be a software issue

I didn't understood what is sus, but you meant pc companion by pcc? and is there is any use if i repair it using pcc

it might, just wondering is there anything covering the lens like a film ?

The lens is not covered ,its clean

I'll check with repair and will inform its result

PS:You know it will take time to repair
