Try performing a system repair as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP
Hi, i have the same problem and i already did the factory reset and keep the same problem, and also i have another problem, when i put my phone inside water he start shooting pictures automaticly, is there any idea with that?

They have no idee about smartphones. The only thing the can answer is that I should try the repair function. But I already did that before and I don't want to configurate everything again and have still the same problems.

It's normal. Water for screen is like touching it everywhere. Launch "Screen lock" mini app, open camera, lock screen using the app and then put it into water. After shooting just slide to unlock the screen. You should also wipe water drops from screen before unlocking.
Forget it! I returned my first Z1 to the store where I bought it. They also did a software repair. Same problem. After a week or 2 I get a new Z1. Also with the same problem!!!
Contact Sony about this. Thirst thing they say: software repair. Did it, problem still exist!
Contact Sony, again I have go to the store for sending the phone for repair!
I ask them if they can imagine that when I buy a new phone I will use it normal and have fun with it instead of restoring the software and get back again and again to the store. Im having this phone now for 8 weeks and only have problems with the camera.
Contact Sony again today for a solution but I have to send it for repair! They only will replace the phone after 3 times repair for friendliness!! And yes, only for the same model hahaha. What the f... for service is that?
I paid a lot of money for the phone and can not exept that the only thing I can do with it is repairing the software, configurate it again an get the same problem back. Going again and again to the store, restoring it, try for a week, going back to the store, sending it back, getting a new one, restoring the software, configurate again, and have to go back now again for seding for repair and getting it back with new software ?
I'm sick of it and will never buy a Sony again! Thats for sure.
I have spoken to Sony today and they confirm that this (camera freezing issue) is a known issue that will be addressed in the next firmware update. I have asked Sony how long they have known about the issue and why Sony has not let customers know that it is a known bug on this forum.
Awaiting answers.
Have you got any comment on the matter Sony forum Admin?
