Why is it that xperia sp's spec sheet says it has an 8 MP camera but when you open up the camera app, the highest megapixel count is only up to 7 megapixels? So, when you use the 16:9 aspect ratio, you will only use 5 megapixels?
Because when taking pictures using Superior Auto mode, then max image resolution is max. 7 Mpix, but when in Normal mode max resolution is 8Mpix. I think there was some post about it on this forum. Try to find it if you are interested about "Why"?
Actually, i checked on it. It still shows 7 megapixels for 16:9 and 5 megapixels for 4:3 aspect ratio, be it on Superior mode or normal mode. So, the 8 megapixel claim is not true.
