Camera Flash/flashlight issue

Hello,

I'm having a problem regarding the camera  led flash, which from time to time, when after the phone has finished charging and I'm pulling the connector out , or just by taking the phone out of my pocket the ledflash turns on by itself ,and a notification text is shown in the upper bar notifications area as "flashlight on" and as soon as i open the notification the light turns of.

Is there an integrated function as a flashlight installed by default which activates just by doing some combination of screen touch and buttons ?

I don't have an app installed for flashlight ,yet .

Why then the notification message flashlight on (with a small icon looking like a sun)?

I will try to take a screenshot the next time this happens, I didn't think of that until now, maybe it will work.

Please help ?

I've got it   for all those who have a flashlight app installed, forget it, you don't need it.

So, this is how it works, I have my phone set up for screen lock "swipe", then, when the phone is locked and you press the power button to unlock , instead of performing swipe gesture, just shake the phone yes, shake it , a flashlight notification will show up in the notification area and the led will power up, if you shake it again it will go off, or if you perform swipe to unlock the screen.

Simple as that, guess the suport guys don't know what the development guys implement in the phone afterall :smileyhappy:.

I don't think this is a default function of the phone, you may have installed an app that provided this unknown to you

Could be, but none has a flashlight function.

did anybody else try it?

If that function was preinstalled in your phone it must be country or operator specific. We don't have that as standard in Xperia Z.

Are you sure you haven't installed any 3:rd party app for this?

The flashlight on my z3c turns itself on regularly while in my pocket  and runs the battery down if I don't notice. This has only started happening since I started using the swipe screen lock so I think the issues are linked.

PLEASE can someone tell me how to get rid of the wretched screen swipe lock - I've looked everywhere, but although it was easy to set up it seems tough to get rid of it - HELP!

I have had this problem for some days with Z5. Flashligt goes on unwanted in my pocket. Did install some apps but now they are deleted. I do not use swipe but fingerprint or pin number. Very annoying, heats pocket and eats upp battery live.

Also having issue with my brand new Sony Z5. While on charge and in my pocket flashlight turns on and cant be turned off unless i restart my phone!? No aftermarket apps installed and using pin and fingerprint to lock and unlock phone.
Any advise would be great. Loosing alot of battery power and takes forever to charge my phone!
