Broken Sim Card Reader Pin repair Z1, how much should this be?

HI.

So how much were you quoted?

After a pin came off my sim card reader i returned my phone to get a quote.  I was shocked that this was not covered under the warranty as this happened without me doing anything SIM card related to the phone related for possibly 6 months.

I was quoted £134.

The fact that sony don't see this as a fault of the component is ludacrous, the fact that they want £134 to repair this just makes this worse when i consider the service a certain other company has provided to many of the friend I used to tell how they should buy a Sony phone.

I emailed but got nothing back, so If anyone has any helpful advice that would be great.

A premium phone?  Only if it has premium aftercare.

Replace SIM card reader will need two pieces of waterproof adhesive sticker and a new SIM card reader. In fact they are not expensive, but plus the labor costs and confidence for waterproof after repairing, you need to pay much more.(you know Sony waterproof phone is difficult to repair).

134 is too expensive, but if you want your phone can be repaired perfectly and still waterproof(remember to ensure that point from them), you only can choose Sony service center. Otherwise, giving up waterproof and asking help for third party repair zenter.
