broken screen

My screen is broken.

Can it be repaired? I am not sure if thh touchscreen is also broken or just the display.

If it cannit be repaired? is there anyway I can retrieve the data from my phone?

I tried connection to PC companion, but then i need to also do things on my phone (which i can't now because of a broken screen) to get my x8 connected with my computer. Is there a way to get around this?

Where are my contacts saved? in the internal phone memory or in the memory card? if on memory card could i just read my contacts info on my computer with a crad reader.

please help me.

I'll see what I can do.

Maybe I get some pictures somehow.

Do you want  pictures of the phone in normal state. Or do you want me to disamble the phone and take pictures?

as it is should be fine, if you disassemble it then you will know for sure what's wrong with it

I tried taking pictures with another old phone. but first of all pictures are not clear enough to show.

2nd of all, I don't know how to get those pictures from the phone to my computer, as that old phone doesn't even has USB.

I guess I'll buy a Torq and screw the things open. Will it even be obvious for a noob like me to see if only display is broken or also the digitizer?

it's quite simple just be extra careful with the ribbons

Display Xperia X8

you can see the LCD on the left, digitizer on the right

can't see the picture, but on the link I see the picture you mean.

so..is the digitizer, is that just the whole frontcover of the telephone basically?

I see no cracks in that, only in the lcd screen

So what it comes down too, is that I only need a new lcd screen , and not a new digitizer/frontcover/touchscreen?

if your Digitizer it's fine then the issue might only be the LCD assuming that nothing else is damaged.
