Broken display, cannot access photo's when trying to bck up phone, help

i dropped my phone and now the screen won't work. it is still receiving messages but I can't view them. I just tried to back up my phone before getting the screen fixed but the computer isn't reading any information. Is there any way of accessing my photo's or are they gone???

Unfortunately you require the screen to be at least semi operable for you to be able to backup this data sorry.
