Bluetooth to 2005 BMW 318i

I can pair my Xperia to the BMW bluetooth, but the connection drops out when I make a call from the car as soon as the call is answered, then the audio reverts to the phone. I have used bluetooth to the car from Nokia and HTC phones successfully. On the odd occasion the call stays connected but it is very rare. Also the phone book doesn't upload to the car, although it has done it on the odd occasion. So bluetooth from Xperia to car is unusable. I have done an update on the phone today, so I will test again. If is has not been fixed, will this fault with the phone be fixed in a future update?

try disabling the wifi - there is a known issue that these conflict when on together

also there is another thread here were a guy had a similar problem with BMW, do a search

but I think the above will sort it

also consider updating the BMW software

anyway there are issues - hope you get it working until Sony address this
